Dear XX,
I received your greeting card a few days, thanks a lot for the card. I went back Sarikei that day just for three days because my nephew(eldest brother's son wedding),infact quite a few times of my nephews and nieces wedding(of other brothers'), I didn't go back, but this time was on holidays and my son is free so we have to go back once and we enjoyed a lot also but very ilmited time because I got five brothers to visit.
No, I didn't forget about you people, this was my second time I went back Sarikei after 1989. Partly, my parents were no more and I myself very busy also because of my son's schooling and I am working.
Anyway how are you now and what are you doing any working/look after my business? How is your husband's Oriental Hotel or any other business? How about your son who complete F5 last year, further studies and study for which line? My son still continuing his senior Middle 3, after that still don't know where he study and study what?
That morning when I walked around Sarikei town, I met a few schoolmates(primary school's(, all look still the same. I visited Ah Lok in her shop, she is very fat now.Sarikei town still the same not much developed except a few new roads, compare about ten years back. I think partly because of the people having their own lands abd built housese on thir own lands and doing some gardening in their own lands also. While in Kuching here, most people don't have land and have to buy housese near the town area and plus a lot from Sibu, Bintangor and Sarikei buy houses here also, so housing and shophouses development is very fast during these recent few years time and the traffic is getiing more and more heavy. Before any New Year occasions, it is hard to drive around.
That's all for the time being.
From me, Winnie
